Nikki’s Nest enjoys a beach, that is further away from fishing activities, but enjoys the company of local villagers during the weekends, after their temple visits. At the beach, we provide our guests with two life guards who are professionally trained, and have received a swimming certificate from the Marine Institute at Kollam. They help clean the side of the beach which is assigned to Nikki’s Nest before our guests arrive in the morning. Sunbeds are set out neatly, with beach umbrellas and towels. Although, our beach is ideal for sunbathing with extensive view of the coastline, most often through the year, serious swimming in the ocean is not considered very safe. With rough waves our lifeguards have saved lives and they strive hard to keep our guests safe and secure.
We also take care of homeless beach dogs, feeding them and taking care of their vaccinations and other health needs. This responsibility is also taken up by the lifeguards to make sure the dogs are fed by our general workers.
